Dear God’s beloved,
Yes you, the one who’s wanting to read this book because you felt connected.
I see you, I’ve been you.
I wish I had someone, or something like this book, when I was at that point in my life when everything was a blur.
When I was struggling and confused. I needed someone to guide me, to remind me of who I truly am.
This upcoming book is for you.
The courageous young woman navigating life’s highs and lows, yet still looking forward with hope for your future.
Whatever you’re doing now or wherever you are in life, whether you’re just finding your voice or charting your path, know that you share a common strength with so many others..
a desire for growth, a heart seeking faith-filled motivation, and a bold spirit that refuses to be held back by doubt or pressure.
Together, we’ll walk this journey of discovering your true worth, forgiving your own shortcomings, and learning not to be too hard on yourself.
You’ll find your worth and value from the one who loves you unconditionally.
Hi, I’m Joanna, the one whom Jesus loves. My journey has been shaped by grace and faith, and I’ve come to know the truth of being saved by grace through faith.
One of my favorite verses is Ephesians 2:8: “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” I’m also inspired by the quote, “Fall down seven times, stand up eight,” as it captures the perseverance I’ve needed throughout my life.
I never knew my father, he passed away before I was born. While I don’t know what kind of person he was, I believe he had his own story.
My mother, on the other hand, left me in the care of my grandparents. We were a second family, and growing up, I carried a lot of pain, feeling the weight of rejection, abuse, and neglect from those who were supposed to care for me.
I was angry at the world! Rebellious, lost, and confused. But through it all, I persevered.
In the midst of that darkness, Jesus found me, and He changed my life. Like the lyrics from my favorite song Amazing Grace “I was lost, but now I’m found; was blind, but now I see.” Jesus opened my eyes, and I’ve never looked back. This book is my way of sharing the hope, grace, and love that pulled me through and helped me see my true worth.
I understand you because I’ve walked the path you’re on. You might feel lost, like no one truly understands your struggles.
Maybe you’ve been rejected by people you trusted, or you’ve faced heartache, wondering why life feels so unfair.
The weight of not feeling “good enough” can be overwhelming, especially when you’re carrying burdens from your past, whether it’s abandonment, betrayal, or feeling invisible.
You might be battling self-doubt, wrestling with feelings of unworthiness, or trying to find your place in a world that seems to have overlooked you.
Like you, I’ve faced those moments where it felt like everything was falling apart, and I wondered if I would ever find peace or purpose.
That’s why I’m writing this book.
I know what it feels like to question your worth, to be angry at the world, and to feel like you’re fighting alone.
But I also know the joy of discovering that you are loved, that you are seen, and that there is grace waiting for you.
I’m motivated to write this because I want you to experience the same freedom, healing, and hope that I’ve found through Christ.
My heart is to remind you that, no matter what you’re facing, there’s always a way forward, and you are never alone in this journey.
